Writer's Fright

tagged:

You know what stage fright is right?  Well for some reason lately I have had writer's fright I have just been nervous about it and I have just kept putting it off.  I can think of all these wonderful blog posts and they sound perfect, then when I sit down to write it comes out as a bunch of mush.  So here I go again, trying to do the best I can for today.

I have been extremely busy lately.  Hopefully you saw "The Loopy Loves Ewe" Valentines kits on The Loopy Ewe.  They did go pretty fast.  Keri of 3AM Enchantments, Wendy of Wendyknits and Jillian of WeeOnes all colaborated to create this great little kit.  It was a real labor of love, because we LUV the Loopy's.  I don't have a picture of the whole kit to share but I do have a picture of the sock I knit, Wendy's pattern my yarn.  Now I need to get the other one done, I have so many things going on and it seems like I never have enough time to knit lately so not real sure when it will ever get knitted.

I have been doing a lot of dyeing, a BIG re-stock at Loops.  I am going to have to make it to Tulsa soon and maybe spend a day at Loops, knitting.  Maybe I could get some knitting done there. LOL  Oh who am I kidding I go there sit on the comfy couch and end up talking and get very little knitting actually done.

Oh I hadn't gotten the chance or rather I haven't blogged recently and announced that I will be having my very first Trunk Show at Sealed with a Kiss (SWAK) in Guthrie OK and OKC on February 27th and 28th.  I will be at the Guthrie store from 5pm till 9pm on Friday and at the OKC store from 10am till 3pm on Saturday.  I am really looking forward to it and as a great big bonus, my sister and her family live in Guthrie so get to get in a little family visit too.  I have been dyeing like a mad woman trying to get ready for this event and I figured it's always better to have too much then too little.  If anyone has any special requests and will be in Guthrie or OKC let me know, now is the time to get in your requests.

I am also happy to report that the Tempted at 3AM yarn and bag club sold out in about 8 hours, Keri and I were both very excited but also a little sad that we couldn't make sure everyone got a spot.  Thank you all for the support!

OK so now for the biggest news!  (Well for me anyway) My incredible, loving, and really sweet and generous  hubby insisted that I go out and pick the perfect car for me.   So here it is Stacy's perfect car. LOL Anyone who knows me will not be surprised at all by the color or even the car itself.  The first car I ever bought was a '85 Charger and lets be honest the 80's were not nice to the muscle car, but I am very loyal.   If you get the itch google a 1985 Charger, not the prettiest of cars but I thought it was great at the time '89, wow that was a long time ago.

What a pretty car girl :) ... no wonder I never get to talk to you because you are so dang busy with the yarn world. Im so happy that it is all going so well for you and that you have a hot new car too!!!! if you get a chance send me a text or email, I keep my phone close to me in class. Im still in training at the new job :).. miss and love ya...

Why am I not surprised that car is red? I love the yarn you did for the Loopy Valentine kit. I was lucky enough to snap one up. I am over-projected right now so it may have to be for next Valentine's Day, though.

Thank you so much Lynne.  I have always been very nervous about my writing skills.  Your encouragement means a great deal to me and might even get me writing more often, maybe.Your one of the best,Stacy

Back when I worked for a national writer's magazine, my boss told me to sit down at the typewriter (at least it was an electric typewriter!) and write as if I were talking to someone. That really works, and it might help you to overcome the "writer's fright". Your blog posts are always fun to read, because they are already personal in tone.

Had the chance to snap up a TLE Valentine kit, which was a great package, but passed because of my existing enormous collection of bags. You all did a great job in putting that kit together!
