spin-a-long
Where did I leave off
tagged:First things first, today is our 9th Anniversary. There is just no way to put into words how wonderful, amazing, challenging and happy the last 9 yrs of our life together have been. I have been blessed with one of the last Knights in Shining Armor. I am looking forward to spending the rest of our years together.
I think I said something about a bunch of dyeing and spinning that occurred last week. This is some Dark BFL that Keri and I dyed in the 'Kyrana's Rainbow' colorway. She has spun hers as a 2 ply and I spun mine and Navajo plyed. It is amazing how each yarn turned out. I could kick myself for not taking a picture of Keri's yarn before she left.
We also decided that we are going to do a little Spin-a-long/KAL, now that we both have our yarn spun we have decided to knit the Morning Surf Scarf by Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer of Heartstrings. I would love to include anyone who is interested, let us know if you want to join in and we might just start a pic and chat forum on Ravelry, it doesn't have to be handspun. I do think that this scarf is wonderful for stash busting and Christmas gifts. I
have knit this pattern before and loved it, can't wait to see how it looks in the handspun.
This is the way mine turned out I really am happy with how it looks. The color is very intense and I am totally in love with Navajo plying.
I have tried it before with very poor results but this time I just got it, and it went beautifully.
See....I really did put Keri to work. She was an incredible help and I have to give her credit for the latest Loopy Ewe order get done so quickly. Thank you!!!!!!
Ok last but not least Bella and Rosie had their first trip to the groomer...OMG I about had a heart attack when I wrote the check, I am used to just one. I don't know why I didn't think about doubling all the cost. Duh!!!
Before
After Sorry for the lousy pics, you have no idea how difficult it is to get decent pictures of these girls.
