knitting retreat

I really don't feel that my previous post did the Knit Out justice so I thought I would elaborate a little more.  I met some truely wonderful knitters and got to spend my evenings with great friends.  The SWAK  team was amazing!!  Imagine if you will running a tab at your LYS, well that is exactly what happened all weekend.  Everytime we had a break most everyone would take a short walk down to the shop and SHOP.  Running a tab is very convenient and also very dangerous, btw Mary, Kary and Logan are amazing YarnTenders/Enablers!  Keely and Shery, the owners, did an amazing job putting this all together, we had wonderful food, incredible teachers and a whole lot of fun.  I will definately be going back next year, and it looks like I might even get to be joined by my lil sis (theif/BFFofWendy).  

Seriously my Lil Sis is on her first Lace project!  She is one of my very best friends, we are 6 yrs apart in age but just seem to get closer the older we get.  I will have her send me pics so I can brag on her some more.  Oh in fact for her first lace project she is using the Wendy Knits Sunrise fingering wt yarn I bought for her on my Yarntab that weekend.  One of the big surprises and really a big deal was that Lorna's Laces sent the new colorway to SWAK for a trunk show 3 days before it was to be released to the public.

Wendy really is one of the most likable people I know, my sister loves her, my daughter loves her and everyone who took her class really seemed to get a lot out of it and enjoy it.  

In the picture is my daughter standing, Wendy (of course), BFF of Wendy and little Ivie Bear (my neice).  Can't wait to have Wendy back in OK.  We had a wonderful time.
