3am Enchantments
Felt up!
tagged:SPOILER ALERT!!!
I think almost everybody got their packages so I feel safe in showing a pic of what went out in the first installment of the Tempted @ 3AM yarn and bag club.
When we started this thing we really didn't know how it might go and if it would be well received. Little did we know that within 8 hours of posting the sign-ups we would be totally sold out and almost double our initial number of spots we had planned. We spent a weekend planning the club around the fabric used for each bag and this one was the obvious choice for the kick off. Don't know why so many of my friends made comments like "that is definitely a Stacy fabric", might have been the Red? LOL This club included the Burlesque bag, Strip Tease Glam Grrl yarn, pattern, button, and the Garter key fob (still want to know exactly what a fob is). The Garter in the pic is mine and holds all my knitting essentials, tape measure, needle gauge, crochet hooks, stitch markers and a needle holder. These are all the little things that always seem to go missing and now with them all attached I cant possibly lose them anymore. Hope everyone really enjoys the package and I hope you all feel really spoiled!
I got the bag felted!!! It is now much smaller and waiting a bit impatiently for handles, lining and a zipper. I am so excited about getting to carry this bag. Luckily I have a very good friend who has offered to put the lining and zipper in. I promise to try to be patient.
Writer's Fright
tagged:You know what stage fright is right? Well for some reason lately I have had writer's fright I have just been nervous about it and I have just kept putting it off. I can think of all these wonderful blog posts and they sound perfect, then when I sit down to write it comes out as a bunch of mush. So here I go again, trying to do the best I can for today.
I have been extremely busy lately. Hopefully you saw "The Loopy Loves Ewe" Valentines kits on The Loopy Ewe. They did go pretty fast. Keri of 3AM Enchantments, Wendy of Wendyknits and Jillian of WeeOnes all colaborated
to create this great little kit. It was a real labor of love, because we LUV the Loopy's. I don't have a picture of the whole kit to share but I do have a picture of the sock I knit, Wendy's pattern my yarn. Now I need to get the other one done, I have so many things going on and it seems like I never have enough time to knit lately so not real sure when it will ever get knitted.
I have been doing a lot of dyeing, a BIG re-stock at Loops. I am going to have to make it to Tulsa soon and maybe spend a day at Loops, knitting. Maybe I could get some knitting done there. LOL Oh who am I kidding I go there sit on the comfy couch and end up talking and get very little knitting actually done.
Oh I hadn't gotten the chance or rather I haven't blogged recently and announced that I will be having my very first Trunk Show at Sealed with a Kiss (SWAK) in Guthrie OK and OKC on February 27th and 28th. I will be at the Guthrie store from 5pm till 9pm on Friday and at the OKC store from 10am till 3pm on Saturday. I am really looking forward to it and as a great big bonus, my sister and her family live in Guthrie so get to get in a little family visit too. I have been dyeing like a mad woman trying to get ready for this event and I figured it's always better to have too much then too little. If anyone has any special requests and will be in Guthrie or OKC let me know, now is the time to get in your requests.
I am also happy to report that the Tempted at 3AM yarn and bag club sold out in about 8 hours, Keri and I were both very excited but also a little sad that we couldn't make sure everyone got a spot. Thank you all for the support!
OK so now for the biggest news! (Well for me anyway) My incredible, loving, and really sweet and generous hubby insisted that I go ou
t and pick the perfect car for me. So here it is Stacy's perfect car. LOL Anyone who knows me will not be surprised at all by the color or even the car itself. The first car I ever bought was a '85 Charger and lets be honest the 80's were not nice to the muscle car, but I am very loyal. If you get the itch google a 1985 Charger, not the prettiest of cars but I thought it was great at the time '89, wow that was a long time ago.
Don't drink and knit, you might hit a purl and spill your drink!
tagged:Not that we'd ever drink and knit - unless we've been invaded by forces from Missouri bearing beautiful yarn and yummy wine!
Keri from 3AM Enchantments has arrived (again - does she even have a home?!) so that we can iron out the details for the new Yarn and Bag club that we are offering. In a nutshell, here are the details:
Please review the information below, and email Stacy at stacy@temptedyarns.com with the following details to sign up:
Name
Address
Ravelry ID
Email address for Paypal
This is a first come, first serve deal; as it is our first endeavour, we are limiting the spots to keep it managable. Assuming (hah! we all know what that stands for) that things go swimmingly, we are hoping to have additional clubs in the future, so please don’t despair.
Our philosophy:
We love to knit, and we love knitters. Many of you who have expressed interest are people that we already know, and who already know us and our products. We plan to spoil you, and our express hope is that everything you get from us will be awesomely stupendous and blow your socks off. You can replace those socks with ones you knit from our club! Each package will be centered around a theme, and may be slightly tongue-in-cheek or sophisticated, depending on where our muses take us. You will not be receiving anything that is cheesy, overly sugary-sweet, or 80’s country goose-ish!
What you get:
4 shipments that include yarn, a bag, a pattern, and goodies that are tied together thematically. We’ve already picked all of the fabric for the bags, and are working up the yarn colors and patterns right now. We’ve also already spent a couple of bits on goodies, and have more on order! All yarns will be in sock-appropriate weights, yardage and fibers; although we reserve the right to create patterns other than socks. The bags will either be 3AM Enchantment Basic Bags, or bags of similiar quality and value in exciting new structures. Goodies are whatever our little (well let’s be honest here - big!!!) hearts desire, and will be things that we use in our own knitting and find helpful.
What we get:
Each shipment will be $50 plus shipping. We are beating Paypal into submission in order to get it to let us set up subscription payments. Details will be provided on how this will work as soon as we get it all figured out, but this is not a “pay everything up-front” club. Of course if you want to pay everything up-front, we’re happy to take your money …. ;)
When you get the loot:
Shipment dates are tentatively scheduled at April 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1 2009. We will send shipping notifications - each shipment must be paid in full prior to shipping.
Ok now on to regular life. I have finished knitting with the first skein of Wollmeise that I was ever blessed with. I recieved it at the Loopy Ewe spring fling last year, which Woooooo Hoooooo I will be getting to go to again this year. These are also my first Knee Highs, I love the pattern too.

I highly recommend knitting something out of what ever yarn in your stash that you have always been saving for something special. This was such a rewarding experience, simple pattern and a beautiful yarn equals a great, finished project.
